I am the news update anchor on CNN’s Situation Room and correspondent for the network with a focus on family and parenting issues. This is my personal blog, not a CNN blog. (The views expressed here are my own).
I have been an on-air news reporter in Peoria, Nashville, St. Louis and Washington, DC.
I love being a journalist, but more than that I love being a parent. I have a 4-year old son and a 2-year old daughter. I’m also a step-mom to great kids attending Grinnell College and Brown University.
This blog allows me to combine my two loves – journalism and parenting.
Here you can find news that impacts you. I have links to the latest product recalls, food safety alerts, tips and more.
Find expert interviews on a variety subjects with pediatricians, sleep consultants, child psychologists, financial planners, safety experts- anything to help you stay informed.
My blog is also a look into my world.. the juggling of being a working mom, figuring out how to lose the baby weight… and the fun little ways my children teach me how to be a better person.
I invite you to come and learn and share. Read articles, interviews and my private musings. Join my circle of mamas and papas who will add their thoughts, comments and wisdom.
It’s about making your life easier…..finding validation….learning a thing or two…..and belonging to a community.
I welcome your comments and feedback. Feel free to email me at Lisa@parentsdesk.com
