A.J. Hawk Loses Locks for Charity

A.J. Hawk was drafted first round in 2006 by the Green Bay Packers.  The linebacker and XLV Superbowl Champion is known for his tackles, sacks and interceptions.

But Sunday he showed off his softer side, cutting off his famous golden locks of hair for charity.

Hawk and his wife have founded “Hawk’s Locks for Kids.”  They’re partnering with Wigs for Kids, a charity that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to medical treatments, health conditions or burn accidents.

According to Hawk’s Twitter page, they are looking for hair donations.

Hair must be at least 12 inches long and can be sent to:

  1. My mail carrier who has lovely long blonde locks donates his hair every year. I wish I could get mine to grow that long.

My 12 year old son just cut his hair for the first time since 1st grade. 14 inches of beautiful blonde hair. Dublin is just down the street from us and he would love to donate his locks…
